Etymology
Borrowed from Japanese 少し (sukoshi, “a little bit”), originally US armed forces slang.
Noun
skosh (plural skoshes)
(informal) A tiny amount; a little bit.
Synonyms: tad, smidgen, jot, 
Antonym: scad
He added a skosh of sriracha, to give the recipe a kick.
