First it was weevils, then flies;
A song bird taunted me and my dog
A clan of ravens appeared
Then Desert Jack, chose the road
As his place to forage
In front of me.

Next time you visit Las Vegas, make time to go to Red Rock National Conservation Area. There are some incredible hikes to be had and the red rocks themselves seem to percolate one’s soul with their very warmness.
Pro-tip bring twice as much water as you think you’ll need. From April through September it can be life threateningly hot.
I find the reasons for a basic income compelling. It seems that a capitalistic economy could benefit from such a program. Unemployment insurance has helped many to survive times of unemployment. If the individual can stay in their locality and continue to benefit from the connections and resources they have, the local community will benefit as well. A $1000.00 per month income on top of this will help keep a trained and qualified worker in place and ready to be hired back when business picks up.
