This article is just a list of 25 pro Andrew Yang tweets from the Democratic Primary debates held on October 15th, 2019.
If you’ve been following my blog, you know I’m a huge fan of the Yang 2020 campaign. If you’re not familiar with Andrew Yang, he’s a candidate running on giving all US adults $1000/month for life, a policy called the Freedom Dividend (also known as universal basic income). He’s also proposed Democracy Dollars to wash out lobbyist money; Medicare for All (public option version); federally legal marijuana; and 100+ additional policies. His campaign is a mix of reforms and fun (#YangGang) that has sucked me in.
Now without further adieu here’s my favorite 25 tweets from the debate:
Yang kicking the facts. The reason why Trump won Ohio is all of the industry and jobs lost. Talk about it @AndrewYang looking good my man. #DemDebate

Can we just take a moment to realize that @AndrewYang has singlehandedly put UBI and automation at the center of the national debate. Massively significant and impactful. #demdebate

.@AndrewYang is right. Trade cut a wide swath through large sections and sectors of the country but four of five jobs being lost today are being lost to robots and computers. We need good trade deals but can’t ignore the march of technology https://t.co/AK8z2jjf8h

Andrew Yang would have a great Ted Talk and you KNOW IT.
— Matt Fuller (@MEPFuller) October 16, 2019
.@AndrewYang says breaking up big tech companies does nothing to make our kids healthier. Glad he brought up mental health. Anxiety and depression are at all time highs in our kids. #DemDebate #DemocraticDebate

I feel like putting Andrew Yang into office is what a lot of Republicans thought they were doing with Trump except for the fact that Yang actually knows what he's talking about and Trump is an incompetent businessman AND president. #DemocraticDebate

Andrew Yang with an effortless pivot from impeachment to job loss and automation (things people actually care about)
— Saagar Enjeti (@esaagar) October 16, 2019
Credit to Andrew Yang, at least, for forcing a conversation about automation into a party that still thinks about manufacturing and the supply chain like its 1994.

Andrew Yang continues to clear the low bar of being the Democratic presidential candidate most skeptical of government power. https://t.co/HgQDhA3Ywy

@AndrewYang wants to use new ways to handle new problems. He realizes monopolies are not the only problem AND break up is not the only answer. I hope people start listening to him more. #DemDebate #DemocraticDebate

I like Sanders, but Yang is like Super Sayan Sanders… he's just got more evolved ideas.
That sound you hear is Andrew Yang saying "YES. Preach, Beto!" on having doctors prescribing marijuana instead of opioids. #DemocraticDebate
— Julia Ioffe (@juliaioffe) October 16, 2019
.@AndrewYang said at one point, there were more opioid prescriptions than people in Ohio. Not only is that true, it's more accurate to say "during several years" than at a point. #DemDebate https://t.co/5dzi5lZHq7
— Jackie Borchardt (@JMBorchardt) October 16, 2019
I’ve said it before. I’ll say it again. This Asian woman finds it deeply powerful to see that Asian man on the presidential debate stage.

90% of this debate is really just a “who can dunk harder on Donald Trump” contest.
— Jimmy Dore (@jimmy_dore) October 16, 2019
They’re all acting like Trump is THE problem instead of a symptom & result of a larger problem.
“When we’re talking about Donald Trump we’re losing” – Andrew Yang
