Today, autonomous vehicle company Waymo has announced they will now be giving rides to the public as a service called Waymo One.
Waymo, owned by Alphabet, aka Google has been testing self driving cars in Phoenix for the last several years. Last month, they received permission from the California government to test their self driving cars, a modified Chrysler Pacifica in the Bay area.
In March, Wayno announced a partnership with Jaguar to acquire over 20,000 electric iPace SUVs vehicles for their fleet.
Among self driving car companies, Waymo is the first to offer self driving taxi service to the public.
